Brazil, Indiana!! I spent part of my Christmas holidays in Brazil...if only it had been as warm as the country of Brazil...but at least my aunts lived next to a Clark Griswald type who went all out with the lights!
I LOVE gaudy displays of the lights...in fact the more the better. I don't know what my deal is but I love the lights. That is one of the best parts about the holiday season...the lights.
I get so bummed when people take down the lights in January...it is the coldest and darkest month...the time when we most need the lights.

I love lights, too! I keep buying lights to hang in Japan:) Now that I live on the 9th floor with a balcony facing a busy road and train tracks I feel it is my duty to spread some Christmas cheer!
In Karuizawa I hung white lights around my living/dining area and then just left them up until I moved. They were perfect to have on for movie night!
